SGPSA

The automatic cleaning for bar screens, SGPSA type, equipped with swinging grab bucket, represents an advanced technical solution for the cleaning of bar screens installed in channels for water intake from sea, lakes, rivers and large water treatment plants.
In particular, it is mainly composed of:
- a mobile reinforced frame, free to move along two rails installed on the upper level of the channel. It is provided with four wheels, at least one wheel is motorized with gearmotor. The electrical feeding of internal components of the frame is assured by an electrical cable reel or by a festoon line with multipolar cable;
- an electric hoist, installed in the upper part of the mobile frame, with three steel ropes wrapped up, whose two, the external ones, supporting the bracket during its upward and downward runs in the channel, and the third one, in the middle,  necessary to assure, by a double effect hydraulic ram piston, the opening and the closing of the bracket. The piston is fed by an hydraulic control unit installed on board. The hoist is equipped with a self-braking gearmotor and electromechanical overload protection devices;
- a swinging bracket, pendular type, complete with sliding rollers on the bars of the screen; the bracket remains opened during its downward run, and close itself during the upward run at channel bottom,        dragging the screening material;
 -on demand, the frame can be    equipped with a dump body suitable to  collect and then discharge the screening material in dedicated area on board the channel.
The SGPSA assures in one machine up to three important functions, one is the effective cleaning of the screens, the screening material collection and, finally, the discharge. In particular, the screening material removal, can occur with the discharge in dedicated areas reached by the machine during the translation, by the dump body when this one is completely full, or time by time directly from the bracket after the upward run, inside channels running in parallel with the rails.
The operation, both manual by push-button panel or remote control (this one optional) and completely automatic, can be applied to single portions of the screens during the maintenance of the other ones or during the draining of channels.
