GPSC

The cable vertical flat screen, GPSC type, is suitable for coarse screening for medium and large civil and industrial waste water treatment plants.
It is mainly composed of: 
- a sturdy frame made of standard sections; 
- a set of bars forming the filtering panel, fixed to the frame by suitable support girders; 
- a swilling bucket with steel comb sliding on guides by wheels; 
- a drugging system of the bucket composed of one or more steel ropes, drum and relevant supports;
- a pendulum worm gearbox, for the running of the above bucket; 
- a cleaning system of the bucket for the discharge of screening material, installed in the upper part of the machine downstream the screen, but on demand available also in the upstream side;
The screening material settled on screen bars is caught and lifted by the bucket during its upward run; at a proper distance from the upper limit switch, takes place the cleaning of the bucket and the discharge of the screenings into the discharge hopper, thanks to a combined action of its rotation (imposed by a taut rope for bigger models) and its particular geometrical shape. Once finished its run upward, the bucket stops for a set time to start its run downward, remaining at a certain distance from the bars thanks to a system of guides. Arrived to the lower limit switch, the screen stops again to set out its upward run, going near the screen.
The protection against overloads is assured by serial dynamometric devices or, on demand, by electronic absorption limiting devices.
The simplicity of its construction and the completely automatic cleaning, as well as the absence of mechanical parts in submerged by water, allow this screen to always guarantee high performances and reliability.
