GCMR

The curved screen with radial mechanical cleaning is installed on civil and industrial wastewater treatment plants and complies with medium and coarse screening requirements. The most frequent application is for the first screening of sewage in channels with considerable water flow.
The screen consists of a filtering screen composed of curved bars, through which the sewage passes, joined to a cleaning comb secured at the revolving arm end. The particular alternate motion of the arm allows the equipment installation also in a limited room. The motion is ensured by a gear motor fit on the main shaft. The linkage allows to obtain a specific comb stroke: in its upward motion, the comb is in contact with the filtering screen bars and removes the solid materials deposited on it. Once reached the top dead center, the comb begins its stroke toward the bottom, going away from the filtering screen. A suitable device allows the comb cleaning and the screened material is sent away by means of a chute. The protection against overloads is ensured by a dynamometric device. The screen is provided with a positioning limit switch which stops the comb just above the free water surface in the channel.
The standard construction is in carbon steel protected by hot dip galvanization. On request, it is possible to have the protection with epoxy painting cycle or the screen made in stainless steel.
