PRCC

The type PRCC consists of a rotation unit with central drive complete with gear motor, bottom scraper system equipped, in the standard execution, with two blade holder arms (four arms, on request), a central deflector cylinder and a peripheral weir. The control unit is located in the middle. It comprises an electric motor and a multistage reduction unit of coaxial and/or planetary type. If the diameters are equal to or greater than 20 meters, also a slewing ring with hardened and tempered teeth of adequate size will be fitted on.
The protection against overloads is carried out by an electronic torque limit switch for diameters up to 20 meters while as regards the diameter equal to or greater than 20 meter, an adjustable dynamometric torque limit switch complete with alarm signaling device is supplied. The sewage inlet is in the middle, the flow is deviated downwards by the deflector cylinder in order to optimize the sedimentation. The sludge scraper blades remove the sludge precipitated to the sloping bottom of the tank and gathers it in a central ditch wherefrom it is then sucked. The clarified water is removed by means of the weir. This type of scraper combines the functionality of even big sedimentation tanks to the advantage of the central drive. The scraper and any moving parts of the bridge are supported and moved only by the central unit.
This way, the sedimentation tank volume, free from any parts in motion allows, for example, the installation of lamellar packs in its inside; furthermore the maintenance on the clarifier wall, necessary in peripheral drive bridge in correspondence of the traction trolleys, is avoided. On request it is possible to have the floating materials recovery and elimination system consisting of surface scrapers, periphery deflector and scum box. It is also possible to request a walkway for the inspection on the central unit, the standard type of execution is diametral as for diameters up to 20 meters and radial as for diameters equal to or greater than 20 meters.
It is also possible to request the type PRCCA whose sludge extraction system is suction type, particularly recommended for high sludge flow rates. Also the sludge suction system is supported in the middle.
The standard construction is in carbon steel. On request, the construction in stainless steel or aluminium is possible.
