SAP

The storm water overflow is suitable for screening treatment on overflow of civil or industrial water plants. It consists of a semi-cylindrical filtering screen in perforated sheet metal or, as option, in wedge wire bars, a screw and a sturdy gear motor. The overflow of wastewater at the inlet channel passes into the by-pass channel through the semi-cylindrical filtering screen which retains the suspended solids of a size greater than the gap. The screw cleans the filtering screen and conveys the screenings again to the water flow of the main channel. The screw movement is generally composed by a gear motor, however, in the case where the electrical supply is impossible, the model SAPS can be supplied, the screw motion is ensured by a small turbine driven by the channel water.
The strength of this equipment is the constructional easiness and the low maintenance which ensures a reliable and lasting operation.
The spillway length depends on the water flow to be treated. The standard models are for small plants; however, on request, it is possible to have models tailored from case to case, for much bigger flows.
The standard construction is in stainless steel.
