GSMN

The step screen is designed for civil or industrial water treatment plants requiring a mechanical separation of the solids. The fine screening, carried out by this equipment, allows the separation of paper, plastic and other solid materials, decreases the final quantity of sludge to be treated and noticeably reduces the pump obstruction problems.
The GSMN consists of steel blades assembled side by side so as to form a fine screen. One out of two blades is connected to a frame which is the stationary part of the equipment, the other moving blades are connected to each other so as to form a moving unit.
When in operation, the moving blades move with a circular translation motion with respect to the stationary blades; this way, at any passage, the material deposited on the blades is lifted to a higher step and, step by step, it reaches the equipment top and then the discharge. The optimum performances of the GSMN are obtained with a staggered operation so as to form on the screen blades a homogeneous layer of solid matters able to better stop grease, oils and sands.
The screen is complete with dynamometric type load limiting devices. On request, it can be provided with a control panel which allows the automatic start-up and shutdown of the equipment activated by differential level meters or on-off time timers.
The standard construction is in stainless steel.

Strenghts

  • FINE SCREENING.
  • INTERMITTENT OPERATION WHICH IMPROVES THE FILTRATION DEGREE.
  • SUITABLE FOR SEWAGE WITH HIGH CONCENTRATION OF SOLID MATTERS.
  • STURDINESS.
