The rotating drum screen is installed on medium and big size plants for civil or industrial water treatment. The screen consists of a frame, a rotating drum made of wedge wire bars, a distribution channel, a gear motor and a nozzle system for the filtering screen cleaning.
On request, for special applications, it is possible to supply the rotating drum with perforated plate of desired holes size instead of wedge wire bars. The water enters into the screening drum through a central channel and is distributed onto the drum surface by one or several filling blades. The water passes through the drum from the inside to the outside, lapping on the wedge wire bar surface.
The solid materials, deposited on the internal screen surface, are carried outside by a screw integrated inside the rotating drum. A nozzle system allows the drum cleaning, so as to constantly ensure the maximum filtration surface.
On request, to optimize the operation, the equipment can be provided with a variable speed drive which controls the drum rotation speed. The protection against overloads is ensured by standard dynamometric devices or, on request, by electronic load limiting devices.
The standard construction is in stainless steel.
