GRS

The drum screen is installed on small and medium civil or industrial water treatment plants. It is particularly suitable for the solid-liquid separation in the wastewater treatment for food, textile, tanning, petrolchemical industries and municipal treatment. For industrial purposes, it is used in the recyclable materials recovery.
This screen consists of a press-bended metal sheet, a revolving cylinder or drum made of wedge wire bars, a scraping blade, a washing nozzle system and a gear motor. The inlet water, lapping on the drum screening bars, deposits the suspended solids in it. These solids are carried over by rotation friction to the scraping blade which conveys them into a specific container. The blade exerts a suitable pressure on the drum by means of an adjustable counterweight system; the bigger sizes are provided with a motorized system for the blade cleaning. The water already filtered falls down by gravity and runs again into the revolving drum from the inside toward the outside; in this way it carries out an energetic counter-washing which is further improved by the jet of pressurized water by means of nozzles.
On request, in order to optimize the equipment operation, it is possible to adjust the speed according to water quality, with the addition of an inverter in the electric control panel or replacing the standard gear motor with a variable speed drive. The protection against overloads is ensured by standard dynamometric devices or, on request, by electronic load limiting devices. The standard equipment is designed for installation on tank. On request, a model complete with specific drain chamber and support legs can be supplied.
With regard to particular applications, it is possible to have the GRSC supplied complete with a screw conveyor, integral with the structure, which collects the screened material and send it away while compacting it.
The standard construction is in stainless steel.
